About The Artist

Precious Nakpil ,a Filipina and a Singapore-based artist and Special Education teacher. The granddaughter of a National Artist- Juan Nakpil. When she was a student in the Philippines, she worked on numerous art projects in different schools and had been invited to paint murals and sold paintings to sustain her studies. In 2011, she completed her master’s degree in Special Education at the University of the Philippines. Her thesis, entitled “Painting Workshop to Enhance Self Concept among Children and Young Adults with Autism”, was dedicated to her students with special needs.

Precious refined her knowledge and skills in painting and found her own unique style and personality as a realist-impressionist artist with the help of a renowned artist, the father of painting workshops in the Philippines-Mr Fernando Sena. It was through his team of artists that Precious was able to exhibit some of her works in various places in the Philippines.

Precious teaches art and painting to children with special needs in Singapore and had also been proactively sharing her artistic talent with working adults through the University of the Philippines Alumni Association Singapore or UPAAS and the OWWA (Overseas Workers Welfare Association) in Singapore, The Philippine Embassy and other charity organizations in Singapore.
